Rabbi Berry Nash, his wife Shayna and their daughter Riva (not pictured) moved to Missoula in May to give Missoulians the opportunity to explore their Jewish roots. The Nash family is the first to open a Chabad- an orthodox house dedicated to services and celebrations that is open to everyone. "We don't want to change anyone's views," Berry said. "I want to help people grow in their own way."The Nashes will be opening their home for Rosh Hashona, the Jewish New Year, Wednesday through Friday.

Mickey O’hara and Alex Horner slide to the finish line of the 2018 Grand Traverse race in Crested Butte, Colo. The race, in which skiers travel 40 miles and climb over 6,800 feet, started in the 1990’s. This year, instead of skiing from Crested Butte to Aspen, racers went half-way and turned around - called the Grand Reverse - due to risky weather and snow conditions.
A gym class at Lake City High School has to spill into the hallways during another group’s lunch hour because there isn’t enough space in the gyms. At one point in the day, four gym classes have to share the same space and have worked out a system where they rotate using the gym floor, the auxiliary gym, the weight room and the hallway. Deanne Clifford, the school’s principal, is worried that someday, someone will accidentally drop a medicine ball over the rail during lunch. If the district’s bond passes in March, the school will get a new gym, a new weight room and a new wrestling room.
